Annual Giving Program 2018
This year the Swansea Online Access Centre celebrates fifteen years of assisting the Swansea community with access and training in technology. To celebrate our 15th anniversary the Management Committee has established an annual giving program to provide proceeds from our achievements to local community organisations.
As the producer of the Great Oyster Bay Community News, the Swansea Online Access Centre Management Committee has funds available to distribute to community organisations in our local area. This would not be possible without the continued support of our advertisers, our dedicated volunteers and of course, you, our readers.
Swansea Online Access Centre Management Committee invites local community organisations to lodge written expressions of interest for consideration in our inaugural annual giving program. Written expressions of interest must include an overview of how the funds granted will benefit the community, what the monies will be used for and how much money is required. It is essential that contact details be provided, including name, address and a contact telephone number. Organisations and individuals eligible to receive funds must meet the following criteria:
• Be of good character and repute
• Be a local organisation or individual (between Bicheno and Buckland)
• Engaged in a non-profit venture or activity which benefits the community
• Must not promote tobacco, alcohol or gaming
All applicants will be provided with written notification that their application has been received and will be considered. In the instance that an application is deemed to be incomplete, the applicant will be advised in writing. The Committee will discuss the merits of each expression of interest and all applicants will be notified in writing once the decision is finalised.
Cheques will be presented at our Annual General Meeting to be held on Thursday 14th August 2014 at 5pm. Applicants will be required to provide an invoice or statutory declaration for acquittal of the funds within twelve months of the monies being provided to the successful applicant. Written expressions of interest can be mailed to PO Box 308 Swansea 7190 or emailed to [email protected] by COB 3rd June 2014 and clearly marked Annual Giving Program Application.
